Hamhanded droopy horses

Hamhanded droopy horses
land as dead flies to her doorstep-
the one more step - not clunked through by me,
an irksome baited flea,

and a hummingbird with need.
And should you sweep your porch seed
though pestered expressions tangle my hands?
Just a 'yes' for the guess and stance.

Then I'll tell you when I can
(head excused from the dirty sand)
which it is for at the moment that I bleed
to be sucking blood or nectar sweet.

“A” and “the” in the eighth line are supposed to be underlined instead of being in bold. But I’m back to not being able to find an underline button.
