CELLS

As I said to my cells with my eyes looking outwards,
“You see what I’ve seen but not what I’m seeing.
You forget what I’m being reminded of
as you remember what I’ve forgotten.”

I stand in all solidity, in the evasiveness of all space,
an atom of & among atoms, planets, and moons in orbit,
making a virtual permanence, a fixed frame of reference,
traveling the same ground as it whirls out of place.
